ABOUT NATALIE

Hey, my name is Natalie Amos. In my family I’m the 3rd child, i have two encouraging brothers and one sister who is basically my best friend. And i was lucky enough to have the most supportive parents, who help me through any obstacle i want to accomplish. We are blessed enough to live on a farm and raise pygmy goats who we show at the fair! Our family also bonds by going camping during the summers every year. With my family i love to fish, ride bikes, go on hikes, and sit around the campfire talking for hours!

My oldest brother was the first to play basketball, and going to his games i was so fascinated! In the 3rd grade i began my first basketball team, playing for an LYS team. Basketball soon became an addiction. I remember waking up so stoked, like it was Christmas morning, for a basketball game that wasn’t for hours later! In the 4th grade, i actually got advised to stop LYS because i was too aggressive and scored to many points! It was ridiculous! I needed something more challenging and competitive so later in the 4th grade, i started to play up with 5th graders on my first AAU team. From then on, i knew basketball was something that was more than just a hobby. I always played up with both of my AAU teams, and was honored to be a starting guard thanks to all my effort i put in to be the best player and leader i can be. Always being the youngest never bothered me, i believe it shaped me into being a smarter, stronger player. However, in my basketball career, I’ve had to battle asthma and the consequences of passing out along with it. But, I’ve learned how to control my breathing. Other than my focus on basketball, i love school. I always put my school work in front of sports. I have achieved the highest standard of academic excellence by earning a 4.0 at Lynden Middle School. In middle school i am already earning High School credits by taking Algebra 1. Also, as a freshmen i plan to start earning collage credits by taking Ap courses.

Volleyball and Tennis are also two sports that i play along with basketball, my life is revolved around being active! I dream of making varsity freshmen year for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, and with my high standards with myself, i believe i can accomplish this.

My biggest dream of all is to play division 1 basketball. There’s no words to describe how much i want to be able to achieve the opportunity of division 1! Lastly, I plan on pursing in the medical field and it’d be a dream come true to attend Stanford University. All these dreams come with hard work, and challenges. But, I love the game of basketball and i LOVE winning. So when i put my heart and mind into something, i don’t look back, and just take one step at a time to make things happen.
