HoopStar would like to seek your support in sponsoring our youth basketball academy.  Our academy has youth ages second grade through high school, currently serving over 250 athletes from Whatcom County, Skagit County and British Columbia.   HoopStar prides itself on developing young athlete’s basketball skills, as well as fielding competitive teams that enjoy success locally and regionally.  Even more important, HoopStar has had a positive impact on the lives of Whatcom County area youth, their families, and the community.

At HoopStar we feel that organized sports are important because it gives youth the opportunity to:

• Have fun participating in a sport that makes them happy.
• Meet new friends and develop relationships.
• Learn the importance of teamwork and other life skills.
• Learn discipline and structure in a positive way and atmosphere.
• Acquire leadership qualities and create good character traits.
• Potential to go on to College to play basketball and it paying for their college education.

The average cost per athlete to participate is $750, this includes equipment, training fees, gym rentals, travel, tournament/league entry fees, and club operating expenses.  Many of our teams include families that are unable to comfortably afford some of the cost that come with playing on a team, especially at the more competitive levels.  The competitive levels often require additional fees for training, tournaments, travel and sometimes accommodations.

In order to continue to make this rewarding experience a reality for our athletes this year, for the first time, we are offering an opportunity to local businesses like yours to become a Team and/or Club Sponsor. Your contributions will be targeted exclusively to lower the growing cost of HoopStar’s 250+ players, enabling them to fully participate in training programs, Spring/Summer league games, and local and regional tournaments.  While a sponsorship of any size will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged our website, a donation of $500 or more will earn you one of our sponsor packages. This type of exposure is a positive reflection of your company and shows your commitment to youth and their future.
